Bad surprise for Open Dutch Sailing Championships organisers when, on Thursday 17 September, both Belgium and Germany suddently declared Amsterdam Province as Covid Red Zone, preventing four Belgian, and one German team to reach Medemblik, then reducing the fleet from 21 to 16 F18s, GER F18 Chair Dirk Bleikker & crew Fabian Syring, being the only foreign competitors in the 2020 event.
Whatever the case, nice weather but pretty strong wind conditions on Friday, with three completed races, Jolbert van Dijk & Frank de Waard getting three bullets (!), Hans & Marius van Dam three second, and Arjan Baas & Emma van Wellij a good series of 3,3,4.
Good performance for Dirk and Fabian, and Wik & Rob Becker as well, respectively getting 4,6,5 and 5,4,7.
