From Real Club Náutico de Vigo
Rías Baixas Cata Raid was the first event on Spanish calendar following Covid 19 health safety plan, and this Long Distance competition went to Bader brothers, Yacht Club Saint Tropez members, who didn’t left any chance to their opponents, getting five bullets in five sailed legs.
“It is our first time in Vigo”, Cedric explained after the trophy ceremony. “We are very happy to be here. We got perfect wind forces, from 6 to 20 knots, and it was very interesting to sail around many islands, in changing wheather conditions connected to the three magnificent estuaries we visited”.
Just to regret a thick fog prevented Race Officer to launch the fifteen boats fleet for the sixth and last leg joining Marin to Vigo on the final day, provisional ranking on Saturday evening becoming the final result.
Arthur Boc-Ho and Laetitia Lefevre finish second one more time, similar to Costarmoricaine, after a close battle until the last mile against “Chisco” Catalán and Alexis Parcerisa, Real Club Nautico de Vigo members, who got the Spanish Long Distance Cup title.
Andalusians Rafael Martín-Prat, Spanish F18 National Secretary, and Adriano Patron, from Puerto Sherry, ended fourth overall.
