The Club Nautico Puerto Sherry have made the first proposal for 2019 F18 Worlds in Spain. We are always pleased that so many Clubs and NCA’s have confidence in F18. The decision for 2019 will be made in Denmark at the next World Council Meeting. All details of this bid are in Bid book section on the website.
Rafael Martín-Prat de Abreu: “The Spanish F18 Class Association and the Club Náutico Puerto Sherry would be honored to host the Worlds Championship F18 in 2019 on Bay of Cádiz. This venue in South Europe is well known: the Bay of Cádiz has played host to major Worlds and European Championships for classes such as the Laser, 470, RS:X, Star, J80, and many more. The Club Nautico Puerto Sherry has proven experience in organizing catamaran regattas, cups and championships. This year the Spanish F18 Championship will be held there too. Puerto Sherry will provide a spectacular location and the experienced club will deliver a memorable event for the participating teams, guests and visitors.”
Family & friends
Not only this venue is attractive for sailors, also family and friends will love to be part of this event. The Bay of Cádiz’s pleasant sailing conditions, central location, and a range of accommodations for varying budgets, make Puerto Sherry a unique and exciting venue. If you or your family want to go for a dive, go out in a 3-person kayak, SUP-tour, windsurf or just want to hang out on the beach…. everything is possible. A brochure with all possibilities at Puerto Sherry can be found here. Even a list of guided excursions is available!
