16 teams entered F18 Victorian State Titles hosted by Frankston Yacht Club (FYC), sailing the event as a warm-up for 2025 Australian F18 Catamaran National Championship to be held 21-26 January.
Weather conditions permitted Race Officer to sail only two races, Dave and Lachlan Hughes getting the title with one bullet and one second. Detailed results below.
Brief report from James and Emily Henderson
Victorian States are done and dusted. With totally opposite days, only 2 races were completed over the weekend. Winds up to 30+ knots on the first day made it seem unlikely that any racing would go ahead, however with a late AP drop one race was completed. Being late to the start put us behind on the get go with little to work with to get back through the fleet we stayed with an 8th. Sunday was a completely different story with a glass out across the bay after going out for an early morning start. We were sent back in under AP and came out later with a little bit more breeze. We managed to drift into 2nd for the race. This completed our weekend of opposing days. Finishing in 5th overall for the states.
