Tough weather conditions during Day 2 in Sarasota Bay, where Race Officer team succeeded in completing three races, before sending the fleet ashore using AP on H, AP on A being then displayed as it was not sufficient wind anymore to sail a fourth.
As Konstantinos Trigonis & Iordanis Paschalidis tell in their interview wind conditions were pretty tricky, and one could remain stuck when one fellow competitor 100 meters away got a 16 knots breeze… leaving the Greek team fully exhausted at the end of the day.
Standings put Greek pair in front (2,5,1,1) ahead from fellow Australian competitors Burvill-Puttman (1,2,5,6), US team Easton-Bird (10,9,3,2) and two father and son teams, Dutchies Van Dam (3,3,15,4) & Booth from Spain (8,1,6,13). Thanks to a wise and fair redress given by the Jury, Boulogne-Matraing recovered from their big crash and are again in the hunt for a place on the podium.
