Fourth Leg: Saint Quay Portrieux – Erquy
Fourth Leg has been the fastest sailed one, boats speeding 22+ knots from La Mauve to Le Légué.
Once again, leading teams were eager to secure their positions overall, and the fleet was pretty nervous on the starting line implemented in front Estran Beach in Saint Quay Portrieux, forcing the Race Committee to use Black Flag as Preparatory Signal after a first General Recall.
The fleet quickly reached La Mauve Rock, before starting a long reach towards Le Légué, flat sea favouring high speed.
AUS 3 was the first to round Le Légué, and to start a long downwind run towards Les Trois Pierres, closely followed by Chevrier/Cosse, Dary/Fanouillère, and Erussard/Moreau.
Rounding Les Trois Pierres
After rounding Les Justières, a tense battle started again among the four leaders, those crossing the finishing line within one minute and 25 seconds…

At the end of Day Four, Burvill/Puttman secured the lead, a single second separating Chevrier/Cosse and Erussard/Moreau… Once more, last leg would be decisive for declaring Costarmoricaine winner…
