Listen to Manu Boulogne and Kinou Mourniac opinion about 2015 St Barth Cata Cup, and do share Race Officer point of view about the event, when interviewed by Olivier Bovyn, IF18CA President…
Manu and Kinou are truly enthusiastic when speaking about the event: “St Barth Cata Cup represents the ideal F18 event” says Manu… ” Exceptional sailing, conviviality, perfect organisation and international media coverage… What else ?” Manu keeps on speaking: ” This regatta showcases the very essence of F18: fun sailing in various weather conditions, and experience sharing between top champions and passionate club sailors… 2015 edition is as usual a terrific success, rewarding an incredible group of friends working hard all year long to carefully prepare the event, only aiming to spread and share their sailing playfield with other F18 fans…”
Kinou Mourniac could not agree more: ” One more successful edition sailed on dream conditions: lighter breeze compared to last year, waves, sunshine, plus a superb organisation ashore… We did succeeded in fully completing round St Barth Island on Day 1, which was truly new for the whole fleet, as never done before, although some competitors unfortunately ended the sailing at night, due to a shower to absorb all remaining wind…”
Triple F18 Vice World Champion keeps on speaking: “Days passing by, we did succeeded to complete six races, and, eventually, BEL 1 took the win, congrats to Patrick and Trois Pommes!!!”
Kinou concludes: “F18 has this incredible strength to give sailors the opportunity to live such beautiful regattas, and we do cross fingers for the event to go on, as the whole fleet is delighted to come back every year.”
To sum up, “A big Thank You to the organisers, to the volunteers, to the local governing bodies and to the sponsors for making this great event possible. See you next year!”
Race Officer point of view is no different: “A superb event organised in a masterly fashion, mixing sport and conviviality” says Didier Flamme, FFV Race Official, “For having run Cata Cup for some years, I can assess the increasing level of the regatta, attracting more and more top teams. Having said that, mix between amateurs and pros is the key-point of this competition, as all of them do share the same passion, exchanging tips on tuning and preparing their F18” comments Didier, “Congratulations to organisers and to all the competitors!”
